Are your outdoor lantern the appropriate size? Look at your lanterns from the street for a better understanding. At about 50' from your front door, the lanterns should appear about half the size. If you're unsure, always go larger! Also, the lanterns should be mounted so that the actual bulb is about 66" above the door threshold.
