Thomas O'Brien

Hickory Chair works with some amazing designers - Thomas O'Brien, Mariette Himes Gomez, Alexa Hampton, Suzanne Kasler.  It's so much fun to visit the showroom and see the talent of multiple designers that bring different styles to the table.  This market was a celebration to all of them - all have new books, and were present to sign them for friends of Hickory Chair.  And as all the other markets, HC features a certain designer's collection, this market was showcasing Thomas O'Brien.
Two things I must note...
1.  The Sebastian Chair.  You really have to see this chair in person to appreciate it.  From the picture, it looks like your ordinary traditional dining chair, right?  Wrong.  The scale of this chair is incredible - it takes traditional and twists it to modern.  And then there's the customization - open carved back, or upholstered solid back...and how it changes!  I really love this design by Thomas O'Brien.

2.  TOB bedding.  Walking through the showroom, I kept commenting on how good-looking the bedding was on all the beds.  My sales representative turns to me and says, "you know, this market the bedding on Thomas' beds are from Target."  My jaw dropped.  I mean, I know he has a bath and bedding collection at Target, but this information was too good to be true!  But don't you know that I visited Target almost immediately to check it out for myself!  Bedding on a budget - good job Thomas.
